Sean’s musical journey started at age 15 when he got his first guitar for Christmas. From then on, he would do nothing but practice. Eight to ten hours a day was a common occurrence for Sean. He started out learning Metallica’s “Black” album, then got to “Van Halen I” and “Blizzard of Ozz” by his hero Randy Rhoads. Pretty much self-taught, he took “lessons” from Kirk Hammett, Randy Rhoads, Eddie Van Halen, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai and John Petrucci… learning everything he could from their songbooks and cd’s. But while taking their influence, he formed his own style and voice on the guitar.

He met Chris and James years later and an instant connection was formed. They started writing and playing out when they found Smiley and Mike, which solidified the bands’ lineup. “Although we have different individual influences and differing visions about where this band is going, we have the same drive to make this band a success. And if 5, 10 or 20 years from now we are still together playing music, that will be the ultimate success. We love what we do, we love the music we do, it’s our passion”.

Sean continues to work hard on his playing and songwriting. “It’s not just about writing music that people can enjoy, although that is a big goal. It’s about getting the music you hear in your head and your heart, and getting it into your fingertips”. That is the dream of all musicians and the dream of everyone in Prymary.
